The bustling Downtown and vibrant Uptown: A glimpse PART I

Here are some cool photos of the city showcasing the growing skyline and its vibrant economy which remains to flourish.

The above photo is the Gateway Towers 1 and 2 with the Limketkai Hotel 1 as the tallest building in Mindanao with 19F. Soon, it will be dwarfed by his older brother, the Limketkai Tower 2 which is 36F which is now under construction. The photo was taken at the 3rd floor of Centrio Mall.

Below is the photo taken at Chavez Street going straight to the 6 storey edifice of Xavier University Library as seen at the far center of this photo. Chavez street is known for its growing commercial district. It is home to internet shops, commercial and office buildings fast food chains and many others. It is accessible to hotels, banks, schools and other major drive through of the city's center.

Another photo below shows the Divisoria Plaza, the city's night market and university district as it poses the Divisoria Night Cafe happened every Friday and Saturday nights where there is entertainment and shopping---not really the usual shopping in the mall where there are lots of expensive brands. This is actually the best Filipino shopping where you can find the most cheapest clothes, bags, jackets and many others. It is also a dining district were people, whether rich or poor flocks to this district. Filipino foods of course are being served. The district is also accessible to the city's biggest university---Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan. The photo below is taken at the Aggies Building of XU-ADCU. There is also a park at the center where you can stroll all over as it is perfectly covered with tall green trees. The park is also home to the city's tourism showroom where tourists, specially foreign tourist would have to come to be guided on what to do and where to go.

Here is another photo of the city's greener side, Gaston Park. It is just beside the St. Agustin Metropolitan Cathedral and City Hall. The park is covered with green, tall tress as part of the city government's project to enhance the livability despite its urbanization. A fountain is also attached at the center of the park. dating can be possible around here :). by December this year, the city will unveil its project, a memorial wall for our beloved ones who passed away during the wake of Tropicl Storm 'Sendong' (International Name: WASHI)

Now, going to the other side of the city, the Uptown Cagayan de Oro is more vibrant, fresh, more livable and peaceful without that hustle and bustle of the city streets. Photo below shows the SM Mall, owned by the Philippines business tycoon Henry Sy Sr. now currently the richest man in the country. The uptown district is booming now with the on going development of condominiums. It is also home to high-end subdivisions like Pueblo de Oro Township, Xavier Estate and Camella Gran Europa. It is also home to Pueblo de Oro Business Park, the first Business Park in Mindanao.

Just below is the photo of the entrance gate, which is one of the city's high-end brands of subdivision.
